Complaints & Concerns

Mersivity's University of Toronto chapter — registered with the Engineering Society as the University of Toronto Mersivity Student Research Team (UTMSRT) — is an affiliated club of the University of Toronto Engineering Society (EngSoc). If you have a concern or a complaint about this club, its executive, or any of its members holding a position in it, the Engineering Society's complaint resources are below. You do not have to raise it with us first, and complaints may be submitted anonymously, so long as your identity is not germane to the complaint itself (Policy on Complaints, s. 1.0.4).

πŸ“§ EngSoc Ombudsperson

The Ombudsperson is a neutral body who gathers feedback about all aspects of Skuleβ„’ and mediates interpersonal conflicts within EngSoc. The role is overseen by the Speaker.

EngSoc's complaint resources page also lists ombudsperson@skule.ca for this role.

πŸ“„ EngSoc Policy on Complaints

The Engineering Society's Policy on Complaints sets out how a complaint is submitted, who investigates it, and what happens next:

What to expect

The following is a plain-language summary for convenience only — the Policy on Complaints governs, and section numbers are given so you can check each point against it.

You are also welcome to raise anything informally with the Mersivity executive — see the Team page — but you are never required to do so before contacting the Ombudsperson.
